Saturday of Souls

Orthros 9 a.m. immediately followed by Divine Liturgy
The tradition of our Holy Orthodox Church is to always remember our departed loved ones. Although they are gone, they, are not forgotten. We, as the members of the Church offer prayers that up being beneficial to both us and to the our loved ones who have fallen asleep in the Lord.

Participate in the Community Koliva Tray with a $10.00 Donation. Koliva will be pre-bagged.

The Custom of Koliva

When the Memorial Service is offered, it is customary for the family of the person or persons who have fallen asleep in the Lord to bring a dish of boiled wheat to the Church. The wheat, known as Koliva, is a symbol of the Resurrection. When speaking of the Resurrection, our Lord said: “Unless the grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone, but if it dies it bears much fruit” (John 12:24)

Please email the names of your departed loved ones to the St. Haralambos Church.

Office info@stharalambos.com or call the office Monday — Friday 9am to 3pm. If you would like to participate in the Community Koliva Tray, send your check in the amount of $10 to the Church Office with Saturday of Souls Koliva in the memo.
